The 'Firework' hitmaker - who married British funnyman Russell Brand last October after just over a year of dating - was proud to carry on family tradition by including the jewelry in her outfit because she loves wearing pieces with sentimental meaning. She explained: "My grandma gave me some earrings she wore on her wedding day, which my cousin wore to her wedding and I wore on my wedding day. I like things that have stories behind them." As well as wearing her grandmother's jewelry, Katy admitted she loves to raid her husband's accessories collection to find new things to accompany her outfits. She added to Britain's Hello! magazine: "My husband wears a lot of jewelry. His jewelry case is pretty impressive. A lot of times I'm picking out things of his to wear. We steal each other's jewelry." Katy's favorite item of jewelry is a charm bracelet and she loves scouring vintage stores to find new additions for the band. Showing a charm of a double-decker bus, she said: "I feel a little English now. Every little charm represents something in my life. "When I was 13 or 14 I'd go to the thrift store and but a little bracelet that had charms from the 1940s when girls got them from their soldiers. The history was adorable."
