WNY Couple Seeks Your on-Line Vote To Land Dream Wedding - WGRZ TV

BUFFALO, NY - They are a Western New York couple whose plans to wed have been in the works for nearly eight years. They don't need your gifts, ...just your votes to make their dream complete

On February 14 of next year they'll become Mr. and Mrs. Michael Grzeskowiak.

But they might well be Mr. and Mrs. Perseverance
.
Michael and Jennifer Cunningham began dating in 2003 after a chance meeting along a roadside in Marilla. After only two months Michael popped the question, and Jennifer agreed to be his bride.

But her parents didn't agree with the plan, considering Jennifer was only 16 at the time.

"They liked him, but they just said college would have to be first," Cunningham told WGRZ-TV.

In the spring of her junior year Michael was ready again, having purchased a ring so they could plan for a wedding upon Jennifer's graduation from college.

But on the very day he was going to pick up the ring at a jewelry store, May 12 2007, the couple was involved in a serious auto accident.

She escaped unharmed, but Michael suffered a broken back, neck, and shoulder.

As a result he was no longer able to hold a job as a welder. His saving depleted from medical bills, the ring had to be returned, and the couples plan put on hold last year.

Michael went back to school to earn a history degree, and Jennifer continued her studies in bio-chemistry.

With their lives back on track last year, Michael proposed once again, Jennifer accepted, and a wedding was planned for May 12, 2012, which would have marked five years since the tragic accident which tore their plans apart.

"We thought it be a nice idea to take a day that had presented so much change in our lives and bad memories and trying to replace it with better memories," Jennifer explained.

But then Michael saw an on-line essay contest, where 14 lucky couples would be awarded a wedding at the Empire State Building.

His concluded his essay by writing, I want to give the love of my life the unbelievable dream wedding that she deserves, after standing by my side during so many difficult times. Most of all though, I want to stand above one of the greatest cities in the world and tell everyone Jennifer is finally my wife."

The judges were so moved by what he wrote they were selected, and automatically qualified for an even bigger prize, a wedding on the top floor of the landmark sky scraper, complete with fashion designers, hairstylists an all expenses paid honeymoon to the Bahamas. The grand prize couple will also earn a featured role in an upcoming Wedding Channel special.

The grand prize will be awarded to the couple which obtains the most on-line votes by midnight tonight.

Jewelry Maker Announces New Line of Wedding Bouquet Jewelry - PR Inside

Posted: 05 Nov 2010 03:37 PM PDT

2010-11-05 23:39:02 - Consumers now have the option of creating wedding bouquet jewelry in honor of late family members.

"Many times during a wedding the bride has a family member who has passed away. Of course they cannot be in attendance, so having a token in memorial of them is a popular option," says Ela Steel, creator of the wedding bouquet charms.

The jewelry is handcrafted and designed to go onto the bride's bouquet.

"I create a tasteful charm to hang

from your bouquet. You can have custom text on the back and their image on the front. The colors are mostly white so it will go with any floral arrangement or dress," explains Steel.

Customers send in a picture or digital image of their loved one. She then creates the bouquet jewelry with a copy of the picture. The bouquet charm can then be attached with any color ribbon.

Steel adds "Don't worry if you do not have a good photograph of your loved one. Of course, the bigger the better, but I have used small Poloroids or digital images successfully."

Customers can order wedding bouquet jewelry from the new website at www.bouquetjewelry.net/
