12:59 P.M. — Lee County sheriff's deputies are investigating the theft of almost $10,000 worth of a jewelry from an 85-year-old Fort Myers woman, including her wedding ring.

According to a sheriff's report, the woman returned to her house on Bogey Drive after being at the bank about an hour. She noticed her front door had been pried open.

She told deputies she found her rear, sliding door was open, and believed the suspects left out the back.

The items she reported missing include a gold ring with a white pearl, a gold ring with an emerald and two gold necklaces with pendants.
