Kate Middleton in Grace Kelly's Wedding Gown - YAHOO! Posted: 14 Jan 2011 11:19 AM PST With the wedding less than four months away, royal followers are getting antsy over what Kate Middleton's gown will look like. With the name of the designer of the much anticipated wedding dress has yet to be revealed, people continue to speculate who the lucky designer will be. Will it be the Emmanuels, who designed the late Princess Diana's (Prince William's mother) wedding gown in 1981 or will it be Bruce Oldfield, who also designed some of the Diana's gowns while she was still alive? Only one thing is certain, the designer will be English. In December 2010, a handful of famous designers that include Gucci's Frida Giannini and Chanel's Karl Lagerfeld had come up with the sketches of wedding gowns that they think would look great on the princess-bride-to-be. In addition, bride.com posted recently on its website sketches from famous wedding gown designers on their idea of what Kate Middleton's gown should look like. Designs vary in style from traditional to modern. However, all of these sketches, although may look fantastic, do not give people a real idea of how they would look on Kate Middleton. To imagine better on how Kate Middleton should look like, aside from super-imposing the sketches with a photograph of her face, one should look at wedding gowns worn by famous royal brides before her. The obvious comparison that royal followers often make is between Middleton and the late Princess Diana; however, for a classic look , the late Princess Grace, formerly Grace Kelly, of Monaco's wedding gown is also a good contender. The wedding dress worn by Princess Grace when she married Prince Rainier in 1956 is an elegant, but modest gown that has long sleeves. Designed by Helen Rose, wardrobe designer at MGM, the gown has lace decorated upper bodice and high neck. "It was a decorous choice for an actress who could no longer have any doubt cast on her suitability as a royal bride and princess," according to fashion-era.com. Made from antique Valenciennes rose point lace, 25 yards of silk taffeta and 98 yards of tulle, the gown was accompanied by a veil covered with appliquéd lace lovebirds and thousands of seed pearls. Princess Grace's wedding gown had garnered so much attention not only on her wedding day, dubbed as the wedding of the century in 1956, but also many years after. Middleton will look stunning on Princess Grace's wedding gown or something very similar. She has the perfect height and build that will go well with the style of the dress. Kate, just like the late Princess Grace, is also a style icon; she can easily pull off the "Grace Kelly look " on her special day. In addition, the dress is very fitting for the occasion and will not raise any eyebrows of her future in-laws. Sara Rue Has Finally Hired a Wedding Planner - People Posted: 13 Jan 2011 05:23 AM PST ![]() Sara Rue and fiancé Kevin Price Chris Weeks/WireImage "It's going really well all of a sudden," Rue, 31, told PEOPLE at the Audi and J Mendel Golden Globes Week kick-off bash. "We actually just hired a wedding planner, which we have been saying we were going to do for a year – and we actually did it." The newly trim TV star, whose show premieres Feb. 23, has been engaged to her fiancé, teacher Kevin Price, since August 2009 but has just partnered with the "amazing" Rachel Hollis, a wedding planner for Chic Events. Hollis, a fan of Rue's from her Popular days, told PEOPLE she's hoping to incorporate the couple's "eclectic yet elegant" style while designing the wedding, and she says the couple is looking for an "intimate" reception – nothing "ostentatious and over the top." While many details are still up in the air, the couple are already set on one thing: the music – and they're hiring a deejay. Rue, who was previously married to documentary filmmaker Mischa Livingstone, is also certain that Price is the guy for her – despite a hiccup or two in their relationship. "I broke up with him," Rue said. "But then when we got back together [and] I said, 'See, I was stupid. I was right the first time.' " But for Price, Rue was always the woman of his dreams. "I think she's just the most beautiful person, inside and out," he says. "Just thinking about her makes me smile. And she's got such a great heart." What exactly made Rue give Price a second chance? "The sex," she says. "It's just so good. That's the truth."
