             The 2011 wedding gown color trends are familiar in romance and elegance, however this collection appears more whimsical and dimensional than ever.

            The classic white wedding gown signifies purity and, thus, has been a dominant preference for brides. However, as times change there is an evolving modification in the way the world defines purity, not only referring to sex.  In recent years, the world has been considered tainted by a gamut of technological advances that now control younger generations, in addition to television shows that exemplify discordant behavior.

            These examples are deemed impure because they are unacquainted with older generations and, consequently, aberrant. However, they are pure in the sense that they are happening and so they are today's reality. Therefore, color schemes have been varying in unison to complement the new age and embrace change for the better.

            Colors such as ivory, champagne and taupe are not only beautiful shades that flatter almost every skin tone, but they also demonstrate a readiness and enthusiasm to accept any type of change, a key component in a marriage. With the new year, brides are also choosing brighter highlight colors in hopes for bright beginnings. Lilac, magenta, celadon, coral, emerald, Clementine orange and yellow are all popular colors that brides are using to accessorize in spring and summer weddings. As for fall and winter, dark chocolate, grays, chestnut, deep purples, navy and agate blue, and olivine green are beautiful colors for sashes, jewelry and even shoes.

             Although the white wedding dress is far from antiquated, a splash of color will modernize your wedding and tell your loved one that you are ready to adapt to your new lifestyle, together.
