If you're like me, and fond of the idea of a designer gown, but don't have the funds to pay for an Alfred Angelo, Ella Rosa, or Vera Wang, but don't want to sacrifice on style, might I Jennie Marie Wedding Boutique. 3896 S. Broadway, Englewood CO. This one is buried three pages in on a Google search for "Bridal Consignment Shops in Denver." But falls at the top of my personal list, and not just because I bought my two wedding dresses from here. Their selection seemed to simply dwarf the other stores I went to, especially when it came to plus sizes. The prices were fair, and in some cases ridiculously nice (from $25 for a damaged dress to $800 for a new as far as these peaking eyes could see). If you have plenty of time consider asking Jennie Marie, the owner and the sweetest gal in the world, if she has anything in her "damaged" section, that was where I got my dresses, there is a little risk involved here, one may be stained beyond repair, but the other only had some beading that needed to be repaired and a snag on it that is nearly unnoticeable. I'm certain that even if I go with an expensive seamstress I'll be under my hoped for budget. And I got it for an AMAZING deal. I'm talking under triple digits mark, thats right, less than $100. I'll leave a comment when I get it back to let you know if the stain came out completely or not, but again the price paid is so very worth the risk of the dry cleaning bill. The reason I rate her so high is for the variety, and her personal assistance (though I did find it easiest to have my future Mother-In-Law help me into the dresses I tried on). My only negatives are that I did feel that I was shopping at a consignment store simply because the boutique was a little outdated and there was merchandise in every possible corner, but when standing in front of the mirrors with the lights shining on me, I could have been the princess at the ball. Jennie Marie also sells Bridesmaids dresses, slips, jewelry, gloves, and veils. I really suggest you check them out.
